Eeshan Agarwal

Senior Engineering Manager , Vanta

Eeshan Agarwal specializes in authorization architecture and enterprise access governance, the critical systems that determine who and what can access sensitive data, under what conditions, and whether those controls hold up at scale. At Vanta, the leading trust management platform serving over 12,000 businesses, he currently leads platform engineering for identity and access management as a Senior Engineering Manager. He previously served as a Staff Software Engineer, a designation held by a select few of the company's most senior technical architects.  As one of Vanta's early engineers, Eeshan built the company's authorization infrastructure from the ground up, designing fine-grained access control systems that govern how organizations manage permissions across users, teams, and automated workflows. As AI enters enterprise security environments, his work now focuses on the evolving challenge of governing what automation is allowed to see, do, and decide, positioning access governance as a cornerstone of modern security. Eeshan brings a practitioner's perspective shaped by years of building the high-scale systems enterprises depend on to secure their most sensitive data. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley and serves as a peer reviewer for IEEE-affiliated venues in security and access control.
